‘Uncharted’ movie trailer plays Nathan Drake's greatest hits
Sony said that Uncharted, the live action adaptation of the iconic PlayStation franchise, will use Tom Holland's youthfulness in a story that will serve as a prequel to the epic Naughty Dogs video game series.
The good news is that the teaser seems to offer the audience a lot of opportunities to get out of the Uncharted movie and see Nathan Drake in his iconic In-Game outfit (white shirt, brown pants and two combos of holsters) to drink his bit. Longtime fans will discover from the trailer that the movie seems packed with some of the game's greatest set-piece moments, as well as a vibe of events unfolding in the old Nathan Drake adventure timeline. If the trailer doesn't match what you'd expect, and Tom Holland doesn't seem like a suitable person for the gig, it's a test of values for fans of the film from a few years ago, when Nathan Fillion appeared as a villainous treasure hunter.
After eight Uncharted video games were released, the film adaptation of the first game released last year went through so many scripts and casts that it feels like it was never really a film in development - hell, even before Holland came on board. The first trailer features Tom Holland in Nathan Drake's classic robe who plays a younger version of the character and Mark Wahlberg's jokes in the opening moments of the game. It shows some of Drake's most memorable moments in space adventures. Simply put, the teaser looks like a pleasant enough adventure for moviegoers interested in the Uncharted games and Nathan Drake.
Playing Tom Holland as the younger version of Fortune hunter, adventurer and general human punching bag Nathan Drake in the popular video game series, Sony's "Uncharted: The Movie" turns the clock down on Nathan Drake's experienced Indiana Jones knockoff which began his career. Based on one of the most popular and critically acclaimed video game series of all time, "Charted" introduced the young smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) to the audience and presented his first treasure-hunting adventures with his smart partners Victor Sullivan and Mark Wahlberg. The live-action adaptation of the game will see Tom Holland play the young version of the exciting treasure hunter Nathan Drake in a series of events set before the events of the video games.
