On 1 September, a number of streamers will strike against the platform in an effort to get Twitch to do something about more hate posts and hate speech targeting different marginalized streamers on the platform. Content creators at Twitch are planning a one-day strike to force the company to support marginalised streamers who have been bullied and attacked at work. News of the protest follows the # TwitchDobetters campaign launched by Rek It Raven that encouraged Twitch to crack down on the number of marginalized streamers targeted in hate raids on the site.

News of the protest follows the # TwitchDobetter campaign launched in 2010 by Rek It Raven originally to encourage Twitch to act quickly after a number of marginalised streamers were targeted in hate raids on the platform. The scoop on the protest comes from the TwitchDobetters marketing campaign, which has been used from the outset to create a way for the company to inspire the platform to behave better, with many streamers focusing on the way these hateful forays into the platform have been. News of the strike comes after the # TwitchDOBetter campaign was originally launched by the company, which encouraged Twitch to act quickly after several streamers were targeted in the hate attacks.

Despite Twitter’s assurances, many streamers feel the company has not done enough to combat hateful attacks on the platform. Despite Twitter's assurance, many streamers felt the platform was not doing enough to combat the hateful attacks on their platform. While Twitch will continue to work on its channel-level bans, tax evasion detection and account improvements to combat hate speech and malicious habits, the company has urged streamers to continue reporting incidents of assault in the meantime.

# AdayOffTwitch campaign, organized by raven streamers luciaeverblack and shineypen, is scheduled for September 1. The boycott due on September 1 is organised by Twitch streamers Rek It Up, raven, Luciaseverblack and shineYpen under the hashtag # adayoff Twitch, following the # TwitchDobetter campaign, set up to encourage Twitch to take action against hate attacks. In addition to the hashtag # ADayOff Twitch, streamers around the world plan to lower Twitch's streaming audience numbers next week, on the first day of September .
