Sony announced Thursday that it acquired Bluepoint Games, the developer of Shadow of the Colossus and Demon Souls - Remake, allowing the studio to work on original games. Bluepoint, a long-standing partner studio, is best known for remastering titles for new hardware and collaborating with Sony Interactive Entertainment on projects and was founded in 2006 by former employees of Retro Studios Andy O’Neil and Marco Thrush.
