Meta is acquiring the maker of VR workout app 'Supernatural'
Facebook Inc. is trading under the new Meta brand name, marking Zuckerberg's announcement that the company is focused on building its Metaverse which is not now limited to being a social media company. Formerly known as Facebook, the Metaverse-focused company, now called Meta, has been clear in its goals from day one. Instead of renaming itself, Facebook has big plans for the fitness metaverse.
Facebook and Meta acquire Supernatural, one of the first fitness-focused subscription apps available on the Oculus Quest. Facebook, now renamed Meta, is taking over one of Oculus Quests' best-known subscription-based fitness companies, which makes an Oculus app called Supernatural. Supernatural also connects to the Apple Watch and offers users real-time heart rate and fitness tracking via Apple Fitness Plus.
