'Life is Strange: Remastered Collection' will arrive on February 1st, 2022
After the latest delay, Life Is Strange Remastered has been postponed on January 1, 2022, Square Enix's remake of Life Is Strange 1 and its sequel Into the Storm. The project is expected to ship on February 1, 2022 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 PC and Nintendo Switch. The compilation has been available for several months on PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Stadia and PC.
Life Is Strange Remastered Collection will release on February 1, 2022, Square Enix announced on Friday. The bad news is that Square Enix has finally given us the revised collection of Life Is Strange, but although it has been postponed to 2022, we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, as the company has confirmed that we can enjoy the game on 1 February 2022.
The game will receive visual upgrades and improvements to characters and environments, complete with a lighting overhaul and a brand new game engine. Developer Dontnod, who is in love with the original game and its deck nine-developed prequel The Storm, will receive revised visuals for characters, environments and instances as well as engine and lighting enhancements, Life Is Strange 1 motion capture and facial animations.
For characters and environments, the collection will include improved character animations using engine and lighting, revised graphics, full facial movements, performance updates, and sophisticated gameplay and puzzles. Apart from the look, the remaster of Before the Storm will also contain deluxe content, including various outfits for Farewell and Zombie Crypt outfits. It's unclear whether the game will get additional costumes.
The remastered collection will be released on 1 February and is available for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch and Xbox One. The game's release date of February 1, 2022 will also be available on Steam for $39.99 USD. This is the next entry in the Life is Strange franchise after Life Is Strange: True Colors which was originally released earlier this month and originally scheduled for a month later, but was postponed due to the ongoing global pandemic and the resulting problems.
