Latest ‘Metroid Dread’ Gameplay Trailer Shows Off New Moves And A New Enemy
As part of the already announced surprise terror, Metroid: The Fifth, the main game of the series, will be released later this year, specifically on October 8.
With just over a month to go, Nintendo has released a new trailer for Surprise Terror: Metroid, the fifth major game in the series, which is our last look at the launch of the games. The trailer isn't as detailed as the 20 minutes of gameplay confirmed by Nintendo at E3 this year but shows a lot of what to expect when Metroid Dread - the fifth major sport in the collection - appears on Switch. Although the trailer doesn't feature the 20-minute gameplay that Nintendo showed at E3, it does reveal a lot about what to expect when the game appears on the Switch.
The video blends cinematic footage of Samus Aran fighting a big, intimidating villain with 2D gameplay from the series, which define the first-person perspective of Metroid Prime games. This brand new trailer is something to enjoy, delves a little deeper into the various enemies Samus will face, and aims to emerge from the shadow of planet ZDR to cause serious mayhem. The video mixes additional cinematic photos of the Samuss fight with a big, intimidating villain with 2D gameplay material that outlines the collection of first-person video games Metroid Prime.
The new trailer shows Samus being attacked by a powerful enemy in the new terror of the planet Zdraja, while a mysterious figure knocks down Samus on land. While Samus in suit wanders through the mysterious complex where the new 2D Metroid title is set, a new enemy appears in the form of EMI robot, who bowed through the facility.
The trailer also reveals some new enemies, including a surprise appearance from Kraid, the boss character featured in most 2D Metroid games. Kraid appears to have been handcuffed while attempting to attack Samus. The trailer also includes new game footage, which shows Samus racing through the level and dealing with enemies.
