Halo Infinite will be available for Xbox X / S, Xbox One consoles and Windows PCs and will be available for around $60 from major vendors such as Amazon, Best Buy & GameStop. Xbox and PC gamers can also use Steam and Windows 10 Store to register for the Halo Insider program before the game is released, and platform testing for the game will be conducted on all platforms.
Once you join, fill in some information, including contact information, time zone, experience with Halo games, and any relevant consoles you own. If you opt for the PC beta test, the page will prompt you to enter your preferred email address for insider correspondence and you will also be asked to provide your PC specifications and your Steam ID if you have one.
It is worth noting that an application does not guarantee access to beta, as 343 are looking for candidates who meet certain criteria. To have the same chance of being selected as a player, sign up as a Halo Insider, which we will report on below. Chances are that Microsoft and 343 players will choose Halo Infinite's closed beta based on these criteria, so you may not meet all of them in the end.
In addition to participating in the closed beta, you must also be a member of the Halo Insider program to participate. You can opt for the program via Microsoft's website, and the process is simple and straightforward. To register for the program, all you need to do is enter your preferred e-mail address, location and time zone.
Once you have signed up as a Halo franchise insider 343 Industries will use this information to contact you when it is time for the Halo Infinite multiplayer flight test. On this page, you will be asked to enter your preferred email address for correspondence relating to insider matters, and you will also be asked to indicate which Halo games you have played, which you like best, and what types of modes are your favorites in these games.
You must register to the Halo Insider program to participate in the game in question, but the beta test is not hard and only takes a few minutes. Players can expect the Halo Infinite beta test to revolve around the action-packed, sandbox-driven multiplayer experience. In terms of game modes, we can expect both the traditional Arena mode and the brand new Halo Infinite Big Team Battle (up to 24 players) to be available for beta testing.
Test flights are periods in which 343 Industries Halo insiders gain access to the game's test setup. These experiences, also known as In-Flight Beta tests, give a selected group of players the chance to try out the endless multiplayer game modes and maps before they are released. The Master Chief Collection also gets a beta test flight with its new content season.
We are fortunate to have an open beta in addition to the closed beta, which gives anyone interested the chance to delve into Halo before the launch. They undertake not to disclose too much about what beta testing is allowed to do. These questions will be answered as the developers learn more about the playtesters, but they will ask if this is a game you enjoy and if you are interested in both singleplayer and multiplayer.
Streamers have begun to report that they have received invitations to the Halo Infinite beta flight, using Microsoft's nomenclature, but developers from 343 Industries have made it clear that multiplayer testing has not yet begun. While Microsoft hampered its original plans for Halo Infinite beta testing in part because of delays, it still plans for the beta to last about a year, and signs of Halo insiders seem to be on the way.
Halo Infinite Multiplayer was launched back in the summer, and a few weeks ago Brian Jarrard, the manager of the gaming community, reminded players to make sure they have completed all the steps to have a chance. We do not yet have a definitive date for the upcoming technical test flight of Halo Infinites for multiplayer or as 343 Industries likes to call it technical beta, but we know there is a lot of interest from eager Halo fans. At the time of writing, more than 100,000 players have signed up for Halo Infinite's closed beta, an extraordinary number for such a simple trial.
Despite the large number of players signing up for Halo Infinite as a closed beta, you should not forget that you are not guaranteed access to the beta, at least for now. Live producer Sam Hanshaw hinted in a 343 blog post last month that he is working on Halo Infinite Crossplay and that anyone interested in increasing their chances of becoming a Halo Infinite Crossplay beta must create a Halo Infinite Insider profile. Becoming an insider does not guarantee that the player will immediately join the beta, but it increases their chances of joining
Hopefully I can get in the beta
