Guerrilla Games explains why 'Horizon Forbidden West' works well on the PS4
Game Director Matijs de Jonge and CTO Michel van der Leeuw discussed Guerrilla Games' process of bringing Horizon Forbidden West to PS4 while showcasing the full potential of PS5. Speaking to Engadget, entertainment director Matijs de Jonge and CTO Michiel van der Leeuw mentioned that Guerrilla's video games have made it possible for athletes to work on the PS4, while at the same time showing everything that the PS5 is capable of. YES While Guerrilla Games knew that everything should work on PS4 when developing games, they also made an effort to make the PS5 version stand out visually.
While 1NE Media hasn't explored Horizon Forbidden West on PS4, early reports indicate that Guerrilla video games have blocked landing, making for a game that doesn't really feel compromised on PS4 that also works outside of the PS5 facility. Usually video games are launched on every console, however what is known is that Horizon Forbidden West is a very large and detailed game, perhaps the most outstanding game, but one that will return to PS5. It's not unusual for games to be released on both consoles, but Forbidden West is known to be a particularly large and detailed game, arguably the most advanced game ever to hit the PS5.
It's not unusual for games to be released on both devices, but Forbidden Horizon West, known for its particularly large-scale and detailed game, is arguably the most advanced game ever to hit the PS5. Like most games designed specifically for PS5, Forbidden Horizon West loads quickly thanks to the console's built-in solid state drive. The end result is something that doesn't scream like a huge update, but a cleverly crafted component that helps Forbidden Horizon shine in the west on PS5.
While we haven't tested Forbidden Horizon on the West and PS4, early reports suggest that the Partisans are stuck on the landing site. Create a game that won't take offense on PS4 and still showcase the power of PS5. Guerilla Games explained how they made the new Horizon Forbidden West work well on PS4, something others have been grappling with when developing games for the next generation (Cyberpunk cough). In an interview with its director Engadget and technical director Michel van der Leeuw, they described Guerrilla Games' approach to making sure the PS4 and PS5 versions work well together.
According to the Director of Games and CTO, Guerrilla Games was well aware of the PS5 and many of its features when Horizon Forbidden West 2018 launched. While the PS5 version should have had better quality and frame rates, Guerrilla Games delivers a lot. the focus on how the PS5 controller can be a differentiator, but getting the experience right was something of a balancing act. Guerrilla was able to use Sony's PlayStation Now game streaming technology to send the first builds of Horizon Forbidden West to PS4 game testers. While the PS4 exclusive was well received, there were several graphical bugs and glitches caused by glitches in the PC port.
In a recent interview with Julien Chiese, Guerrilla Games confirmed that Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 will feature a Performance mode that will allow players to play Horizon Forbidden West at 60fps. The PlayStation 5 version of Horizon Forbidden West will use the PlayStation 5's increased processing power, customizable SSD, Tempest Engine, and DualSense controller to support features such as improved haptic feedback, 3D spatial audio and timing, and load reduction.
A perfect blend of beautiful natural landscapes and scary cars, Horizon Forbidden West is one of the most impressive games I've ever played, delivering smoothness at the expense of a level of detail, even in performance mode 60fps. A compromise I heartily recommend because Horizon Forbidden West still looks great. Horizon Zero Dawn doesn't need a sequel, but the time spent with its characters in the Forbidden City justifies it more than its many impressive boss fights or beautiful scenery. It's been clear from the start that developer Guerrilla Games has spent more time creating a more interesting open world this time around, and what's clearest in its settlements is that this is nowhere better than a relatively equal zero Dawn has been greatly improved.
It's an artificial and in-game inclusion that appears to exist to serve the interests of the developers - Horizon Zero Dawns Matijs de Jonge is returning as game director - not the Expansive Map. In a separate video, game director Matijs de Jonge confirmed that the new sunnier territory stretches from Utah to the Pacific coast, creating an in-game map that is "a bit bigger" than Horizon Zero Dawn's ranges. Rumors of more dangerous machines and mysterious tribes of the regions were repeatedly mentioned, which served as clues for the location of the next game.
