The best teams in the Call of Duty scene will compete for a $2.5 million prize pool and a chance to become world champions one final time. On August 19th-22nd, the Championship Weekend will take place with four teams making their way to the ultimate battle.
CDL points offer teams a home series in events before and after the major. Half of the prize pool for the Call of Duty League 2021 will be up for grabs during the regular season with a $200,000 prize pool for the team that wins the major tournament.
CDL Champs 2021 team rankings work like the first and second teams in the table, with first-round byes for those who do not participate in the first round of the tournament. The seeding list for this season's five majors, which will feature 12 CDL franchises, will be determined by the teams that have formed during the three home series leading up to the major. CDL Champions will follow the fifth leg of the major by allowing the top eight teams in the standings.
At the same time, all 2021 CDL champs teams have been confirmed, with the Florida Mutineers beating the Los Angeles Guerrillas last week and Atlanta FaZe being confirmed as number one. The battle for second place between the teams will be the normal part of the 2021 season. Many of the top teams will have no reason to change their four-man formula for the majors, but we could see some meaningful mixing in the lower part of the CDL leaderboard.
The CDL Champs 2021 teams won't change much in the coming weeks if they happen to the league's playoff event later this month. The attendance at this weekend will depend on the personalities of the players and there will be plenty of clashes between veterans looking to retain their prominence and Newcomer teams challenging them.
This season hasn’t been very exciting
