'Battlefield 2042' Won’t Have Voice Chat When It Debuts On November 19th
Battlefield 2042 is due out in about a week on November 19, and according to a new report, the game will not be delivered to players with built-in voice chat. I'm not sure how the Battlefield 2042 voice chat overhaul will work after the addition (although there will be reports of voice chat abuse), and even enabling it at launch has nothing to do with the overhaul issue. This feature will not appear in the game until it is properly launched, developer DICE Polygon said. Voice chat is coming "soon," EA says, but ahead of launch, DICE is working with the assumption that coordinated teams will communicate on Discord or other independent chat apps.
All in all, the seemingly chaotic battlefield matches will be even more unpredictable in the first few weeks after the 2042 release. A key feature of Battlefield 2042 will disappear from the game when it is released a few days later on November 19th. However, according to Electronic Arts, important multiplayer game features will not even appear at launch, because Battlefield 2042 players will not be able to use VOIP in the game.
Be that as it may, you can still use Discord or the group chat feature on your console to chat with friends, but that won't help you when you're trying to play with strangers. Solo gamers have no choice but to use the 2042 Basic Ping System. The game will be available to everyone on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox Series X and Xbox One on November 19th.
